Water is recycled and the system uses 80% less water than traditional gardening methods.
Plants are grown organically and the system produces both fish and vegetables.
Plants grow as much as four times as fast as they do in traditional gardens.
We are constantly revising our system design to fit the needs of our partners and to find the most inexpensive, practical solutions. Most of our materials are bought near the build site, 99 percent of materials are bought in the country.

Aquaponics is a system that uses recycled water and fish waste to fertilize plants.
The fish are on the bottom of the system. Water is pumped up from the fish tanks through the grow beds and then pulled through pipes using gravity.
Plants are then placed into holes made in the pipes.
The plants use the fish waste as nutrients and the water is pumped back to the fish tanks, clean.
